Therapy for anxiety, self-worth and life's big changes, wherever you are.
I work with adults who are managing well on the outside, yet often feel anxious, tired or unsure of themselves on the inside. Sessions are online, in English or Russian, so you can join me from the UK, Portugal or wherever life has taken you.

Many of the people I see are coping well, yet quietly struggling.
They go to work, look after the people around them and keep everything moving, and very few would guess how much they are carrying inside. You do not need to wait for things to fall apart before asking for support, and if any of the thoughts below feel close to home, that can be a good place for us to begin.
My mind keeps going, even when there is nothing to worry about.Anxiety, overthinking, feeling on edge
I have done everything I was supposed to do, and yet I still feel flat.Low mood, burnout, losing your spark
However much I achieve, it never quite feels like enough.Self-worth, perfectionism, the inner critic
I moved here for a better life, so why do I feel so lost?Relocation, identity, belonging
The way I feel about myself changes with how I look that day.Body image and self-acceptance
What has brought you here?
People come to therapy for many different reasons, and you do not need to have the right words for yours yet. As an integrative therapist, I bring together several well-researched approaches and shape our work around your story, your culture and what you hope will change.
Anxiety and stress
Worry, panic, overthinking or a constant feeling of being on alert. Together we look at what keeps the anxiety going and find ways of coping that fit into your everyday life.
Low mood and burnout
When life starts to feel grey, or when you have been running on empty for a long time. We work on reconnecting with your energy, your sense of meaning and the parts of you that may have been put aside.

Three areas shaped by my own story
Life abroadRelocation and identity
Having moved from Eastern Europe to London, and later to Lisbon, I know how relocating can quietly unsettle your sense of who you are and where you belong. In our sessions there is room for both the home you left behind and the life you are building now.
ii.Doctoral researchBody image
My doctoral research explored the body image stories of Eastern European women who had moved to London. I bring what I learned, from that research and from my clinical work, to help you build a kinder and more accepting relationship with your body.
iii.Русский языкTherapy in Russian
Some feelings are easier to reach in the language you grew up with. I offer full sessions in Russian, with an understanding of the family values and cultural expectations that often come with it.

Hello, I'm Angelika, and moving countries shaped me too.
I grew up in a small town in Eastern Europe, built my life and career in London, and now live in Lisbon, so I know how it feels to look settled on the outside while still wondering where you truly belong.
These experiences have shaped the way I work as a therapist. I believe that change becomes possible when a person feels genuinely heard and understood, and I try to offer that kind of space to everyone I work with.
I am a Counselling Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist, registered with the HCPC and a member of the British Psychological Society. Over the past seven years I have worked in both the NHS and private practice, supporting people through a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
In my work I draw on CBT, psychodynamic, existential and compassion-focused approaches, which means our sessions can be practical when you need tools for everyday life, and can go deeper when you feel ready to explore where your difficulties began.

Ongoing sessions
Regular sessions, usually weekly, at a pace that feels right for you. We arrange each next session together at the end of the one before.
I am a recognised provider with Aviva, Bupa, Vitality and WPA. Please check your cover and ask your insurer for an authorisation code before your first session.
Book your free callQuestions people often ask me
If your question is not here, you are very welcome to book the free call and ask me directly.
What happens in the first session?
In our first session we talk about what has brought you to therapy, a little about your life and background, and what you would like to be different. There is nothing you need to prepare, and you can share as much or as little as feels comfortable for you.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on what you are bringing and what you hope to achieve. Some people find that six to twelve sessions are enough for a focused difficulty, while others prefer longer and deeper work, and we review your progress together regularly.
Is everything confidential?
Yes, what you share with me stays between us, in line with HCPC and BPS standards. The only exception is if I become seriously concerned about your safety or the safety of someone else, and even then I would always try to talk with you first.
Do you offer in-person sessions?
My sessions are held online, so you can join from wherever you are. I am in London a few times a year, and we can arrange to meet in person during those visits.
Can I use private health insurance?
Yes, I am a recognised provider with Aviva, Bupa, Vitality and WPA. Before your first session, please check your cover with your insurer and ask them for an authorisation code, which you can then share with me when you book.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, and missed sessions, are charged at the full session fee. This policy allows me to offer the time to another client where possible.
How do I book and pay?
The first step is to book a free 15-minute call online, and you will receive a confirmation email with your video link. If we both feel it is a good fit, we arrange your first session together during the call, and after that we book each next session at the end of the one before. We go through fees and how to pay together, before your first session.
