Terms of Service

These terms apply to therapy sessions booked with Angelika Grechnaya ("the practice", "I", "me"). By booking a session, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

1. Booking and payment

New clients begin by booking a free 15-minute introductory call online. If we agree to work together, your first session and any further sessions are arranged with me directly. You will receive a confirmation email for each appointment. Payment is taken through a secure third-party provider (Stripe), or billed to your insurer where you are using private health insurance.

2. Session format

Standard sessions last 50 minutes and take place online via secure video or in person, as agreed. Please be ready a few minutes before the start time. For online sessions you are responsible for having a suitable device, a stable internet connection and a private space.

3. Lateness

If you arrive late, the session will still end at its scheduled time so that other clients are not affected, and the full fee remains payable. If I am unexpectedly late, the time will be made up within that session or, where that is not possible, at the next session.

4. Cancellation policy

Cancellations and rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, and missed sessions ("no-shows"), are charged at the full session fee. This applies regardless of the reason for the cancellation, as the reserved time cannot usually be offered to another client at short notice.

5. Scope of service: not for emergencies

This practice offers planned, appointment-based therapy. It is not an emergency or crisis service and cannot provide urgent support between sessions. If you are in crisis or worried about your safety or someone else's safety, please seek immediate help:

  • Call 999 or go to your nearest A&E if there is an immediate risk to life.
  • Call the Samaritans free, 24 hours a day, on 116 123.
  • Contact your GP or NHS 111 for urgent but non-life-threatening concerns.

6. Confidentiality

Sessions are confidential and I practise in line with HCPC ethical standards. Confidentiality has legal limits, including where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person, safeguarding concerns, or where disclosure is required by law. Where possible, I will discuss any need to share information with you first.

7. Liability

Therapy is a collaborative process and outcomes vary from person to person. No specific result can be guaranteed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, my liability arising from or in connection with the services is limited to the fees paid for the sessions concerned. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page and applies to bookings made after the "last updated" date above.

9. Contact
